The NHLA is auctioning two VIP passes to the 2012 Liberty Forum which takes place from February 23rd to 26th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nashua, NH. All proceeds from this auction will go towards the NHLA Political Action Committee Fund which is used to help elect Pro-Liberty candidates for the New Hampshire House and Senate. This pass includes all speakers/panels, Friday Buffet Lunch, Friday Keynote Dinner, Saturday Buffet Lunch, and Sunday Brunch. The externally-run gun shoots and state house tour must be purchased separately.
The NH Liberty Alliance does not endorse federal level candidates. We have received multiple e-mails regarding videos that a YouTube user named "NHLiberty4..." has been posting. This user has no affiliation with the NH Liberty Alliance.
We focus our efforts on NH State politics and endorse NH candidates who have demonstrated their pro-liberty stance by their voting record or their score on our candidate survey. Here is the link to our Annual Liberty Rating for an example of the work we do in New Hampshire http://www.nhliberty.org/2011_Liberty_Rating.
We hope this removes any confusion.
The next Board meeting is scheduled for Saturday, January 7 at 1:00 pm at Murphy's Taproom, 494 Elm Street, Manchester, N.H. All members are welcome to attend. Hope to see you there.
The Board elections have closed, and the results are:
The Return of Civic Action
As mentioned in our September newsletter, the Board has proposed a bylaws change which would reinstate Civic Action. "What is Civic Action?" asked an inquisitive attendee of last month's annual membership meeting. Civic Action is the branch of the NHLA that addresses this part of our mission statement: The New Hampshire Liberty Alliance is a non-partisan coalition working to increase individual freedom in New Hampshire. We do this by monitoring bills in the legislative sessions and encouraging private charity, a civil society, and citizen involvement.
